Terminal 7 at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is one of the airport’s most important domestic terminals and serves as a major operational base for United Airlines. Located on the western side of the LAX terminal loop, Terminal 7 handles a large volume of domestic, transcontinental and connecting passenger traffic every day.

History of Terminal 7
Terminal 7 opened in 1962 during the expansion of Los Angeles International Airport’s Jet Age infrastructure. Over the decades, it became increasingly associated with United Airlines and gradually developed into one of the carrier’s most important hubs outside Chicago and Denver.
Several modernization programs upgraded the terminal with new gate areas, redesigned passenger seating, improved lounges, updated technology and enhanced dining facilities.
Today, Terminal 7 remains one of the key domestic and transcontinental terminals at LAX and forms part of United Airlines’ integrated terminal complex together with Terminal 8.
