Terminal 2 at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is one of the airport’s important international and domestic terminals, handling a combination of global carriers, SkyTeam airlines and selected Delta operations. History of Terminal 2
Terminal 2 originally opened in 1962 as part of LAX’s Jet Age expansion program. Over the decades, the terminal handled a wide variety of international and domestic airlines and became one of the airport’s most important international gateways before the expansion of Tom Bradley International Terminal.
In recent years, Terminal 2 received major upgrades including renovated gate areas, improved passenger circulation, upgraded seating areas and modern dining facilities designed to support increasing international traffic and alliance connectivity.
Terminal 2 became significantly more integrated with the Delta and SkyTeam network after recent LAX modernization projects.
